We have one... so why not TWO?

Yes folks, that's right... We are expecting baby # 2. We are still a little surprised ourselves, but since I'm 11 weeks along, and (I guess) already starting to show - I thought I'd let the cat out of the bag so people would stop giving me the "is she or isn't she?" looks. Lucky me has been able to hear "I was wondering if you were pregnant - but didn't want to ask" by three men already. Gee thanks, just what I was hoping you'd say! ;)

For those of you that are thinking "They are crazy!" I will remind you that I had some issues getting pregnant last time and by the time everything was figured out and we got pregnant with Nixon, it had been over 2 1/2 years of trying. So needless to say, we didn't know for sure how long it would take us the 2nd time around so we figured we should start trying sooner rather than later just in case. The crazy thing is that we hadn't even really started trying yet. On our first month of not protecting...surprise! Prego!

I am due July 17th but will probably end up delivering via C-section 2-3 weeks early like with Nixon, at the end of June. That'll make my babies about 13 1/2 months apart! Anybody who's been there have words of advice or encouragement? Wish us luck on this next fun adventure!

Congratulations! That's so exciting! Who are these guys that say "I thought so... yadda yadda". Fools all of them! If I had babies 13 1/2 months apart that would mean I had a baby right now 2 weeks ago and there is no way I could imagine that. At least they'll be close in age so they can play together!

I think you'll be fine, just hope for an easy baby like Nixon. Realize sometimes you'll feel a little crazed (esp when they are toddlers) but think of how great it will be when they are older and will be good friends. But I guarantee no 2 and 3 will be farther apart!!

YAY! So excited for this one! Hopefully you have another dream baby like Nixon. I'm so excited to have you as a stay at home mom for my whole maternity leave plus more!

Haha, congrats guys! Um, speaking from the experience of my girls being 14mths apart... I can promise you the first year will be way easier than you think. It's just now getting to be a bit difficult...haha...understatement. So my advice? Plan a lot of fun stuff to keep them busy and out of anything that is important to you ie. photo albums/scrapbooking supplies/jewellery... Get a lock for the bathroom door... Hide any electronics/cords/dvds/movies... Stock up on carpet stain remover... Anytime diapers and wipes are on sale buy extra... That's all I can think of at the moment :) Good luck, it's hard/fun and you guys will love it, we do!

Congratz!! YAY for baby!! I know my first two are a little further apart (1yr 9mos) and I agree with some of the things mentioned.. it will probably be a little crazy the first year (but you can do it!! we all get through it!) but it is great to watch them develope a close relationship as they grow older (my kids are at the love/hate part of their relationship, lol). I'm so excited for you guys! I hope you are feeling good and enjoy each stage of your pregnancy :) What fabulous news for the new year :) love you,
Ellen

#1....i have been waiting, wondering when this would happen, cause I knew that was your thinking about waiting too long...

#2 WHY THE FREAK DID I HEAR ABOUT THIS OVER THE BLOG!?!?!?!

#3....advice, although mine are not THAT close, they are still close...hmmmmm....what can I tell you....I wont sugar coat it...it isnt easy, but really in the end (like the ages my kids are now) they are best friends, even though they are a boy and a girl...but they fight like none other too....dont stress the small stuff and enjoy every single moment you have with Nixon right now...cause life will get more chaotic....and when you HAVE the baby, and both of the kids are crying, always go to the older one first, cause they remember longer, that was a piece of advice given to me!....

I am really excited for you guys...congrats! love ya, I need to call you...

Like I said in an email, congratulations you two!!! Just enjoy every moment with your kids, as they grow up and leave you! I hate how far away my kids are! It stinks! Anyway, take care and hug Nixon for me!
Oh, and get back to me about the gift from Linds.
