For those of you assuming, hoping and praying...... you are right! After 2 long years of trying, 2 surgeries, too many Dr.'s appointments to count, numerous frusterated - tearful nights, and many many prayers, we are FINALLY having a baby! That's right...as Nick likes to say, "He finally beat the Goalie!" I almost can't even believe it myself, it just seems too good to be true. And I didn't even have to go on fertility drugs! (Which is a relief - just to know that my body could do it itself.)
I am 12 weeks along and just nearing the end of my first trimester. I'm due May 27th, though I already know that I'll be delivering via C-section 2 weeks before my due date. Because of the scarring from my surgery, my Dr. doesn't want me to go through any sort of labour or contractions in fear of any rupturing or tearing of my delicate uterus. (Sorry if that's an overshare for some of you). So needless to say I know exactly how and when the baby will come (which works well for me, since I love to be a planner).
I hope everyone is having as fabulous of a day as I am. Thank you for all your continued love and support and prayers.

Carrie!!! That's the greatest news I've heard in a long time. I think of you a lot and havehoped and prayed for this for you---cuz I know how bad it hurts NOT to get this righteous desire when you want or think you need it!!! I am SO SO SO HAPPY for you and Nick. Two years of waiting for this is hard I am so glad your waiting is over!!!! I can't wait to hear pregnancy updates, see your cute preggo belly and then get to see and hold your long awaited baby girl or boy!!! I am so excited for you!! I LOVE YOU Care!!!! I hope your pregnancy goes well & that you are feeling good now (or very soon). Ahhhh --- I can't stop being SO excited about this post & news! I'll stop now though! Love you lots Carrie---enjoy every second, every fetal movement, even being uncomfortable & getting stretch marks (IF u do) because as you well know pregnancy is a gift---when you have to wait, pray for, suffer thru treatments, and sometimes bawl your face off, it means that much more to
you and I know you will appreciate the experience, miracle & gift that it is---one that comes easily to some & not to others. Ok I know I said i'd stop---I really will this time. As if u don't know already but again congrats & we couldn't be happier for you!!!!!!!
