I guess I would be amiss if I didn't let you all know how much I love my husband, on this the one proclaimed love day of the year. (Did that sentence even make sense? Hopefully..... it's late so at least I have an excuse...) I love how Nick makes me laugh. We always have so much fun and he makes my life so much more enjoyable. I wouldn't know what to do without him. He is unbelievably hardworking - a tough kind of guy who knows all about cars, fixing stuff around the house and basically how to help me with whatever I need. He is also a big softy, and gets teary pretty easily like me (though he would kill me for telling you and ruining his tough-guy persona). He is really sweet and a very thoughtful person, my best friend. He makes me a better person and is always encouraging me to follow my dreams. To help me keep a positive outlook when I'm discouraged and to realize when it's time to just let the little things go. To look at the bigger picture. I am so glad that I fell in love with him, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Birthday Celebrations!
The yummy fruit bouquet that my friend Helen gave me
Well, I can definitely say I had a great birthday week. We were planning on doing something on the day of my birthday and the next day, but it kind of ended up streching over the whole week. Our friends Jeremy and Paige (& Chase) came up on Tuesday evening for some meetings Jeremy had during the next couple days, so it was great having them stay with us! Paige and I ate dinner at Boston Pizza on Wednesday night and reminisced about all the dinners we ate there when we were single and living together. We would get coke/dietcoke with limes to drink, nachos (with guacamole, sour cream and ranch) for an appetizer, and then share a tropical chicken pizza. Yeah I know, we always had way too much fattening food. Oh the good old days.....
At BP's....isn't Chase adorable?!?

Wednesday and Thursday evening we just spent time hanging out at home watching shows and visiting. It was so relaxing yet tiring at the same time (probably 'cause we never turned in before 12:30am and I had to work at 8am each morning). On Friday (my actual birthday) I spent the morning at Spasation (thanks to Chad and Jeff for the Christmas gift certificates). I got a pedicure, and got gel nails done. I love being a girly girl! Then Paige and I did a little bit of shopping, and met up with our husbands and Ben & Shay for dinner at Joey's. My all time favorite restaurant! (Okay, it may be tied with the Olive Garden) But the meal was great as always, and we hit up a late movie (my favorite thing to do). Saturday we slept in, I got a massage, then we just hung out. We got together with a bunch of our other friends for dinner (again!) at Red Robin's, then everyone came to our house for icecream cake, and games. The boys played a little PS3 and us girls enjoyed playing Ticket to Ride and cards. So much fun!

This cake was massive - we have so much leftover!
The weekend finished off on Sunday, with Paige, Jer & Chase heading home :( In the evening Nick and I went out to his parents house for a little family celebration. We had a yummy roast beef dinner, opened presents and visited. I was probably most excited to get an Oilers Jersey from Nick's parents (and we're gonna put Gagner's name and number on the back!). Now we just need to go to an Oilers game so I can wear it..... Alysha got me a sweet black purse that I've been wanting so bad and Nick got me flowers and some new Lulu lemon pants. I'm so spoiled!
Gerber daisies are my favorite, especially yellow. They are just such a happy flower.

I had such a great week with Paige (I don't get to see her near enough), and it was fun to see so many friends for my birthday. I truly feel blessed to know so many people who love and support me. Thanks everyone for making my 25th birthday a great one! I love you.
